High Concept: : In the Wake World, Machines kill humans for extra cash … and to serve Hell. In the way is an elite warrior cast versed in the disciplines of high technology and blade weapons.
World: Born again to love, one of the few true Spartan humans left on Wake World, a place where machines advanced faster than the seed of humanity. There is a sect of battle troopers who hold the line against the diseased machines, who can be as high as 100 ft tall, who can devastate entire cities by themselves. This story shows 16 growing up on Wake World, and how a small gate is being built by the machines. The Spartan and Seple houses are the strongest. 16 has a bloodline straight back to a god of Sparta, or so it is said. The machine sword, a piece of AI built into each Spartan blade, is his true friend. With it he will travel Wake World. With it, he will see our world. Or so the legend went.
Act 1:
There is a legend of the Spartans being lost to the world, disappearing much like Atlantis. It’s true. It happened to a whole sect of the warrior society. Except they didn’t disappear, quite, but moved to another star system so far away that soon they built a whole world based on seeds from our civilization. Until technology came, until the wars began, and the machines saw the world as their own.
Or so it went.
On Wake World darkness is as rare as sleep, unless you face the battlefields of the machines on the dark side of the planet. It’s more fitting today, because no one ever sleeps … or dreams … except the young ones. They never wanted to forget, but they did, until a hero reminded them that a few can change the whole Wake World, that a few can stop the machines from destroying us all.
M. His true name is Maximus Blue, and his blade Leviticus, a product of the machines. He turned 16 today. He comes from a slave cast of the original Spartan colonizers, a people who lived by the blade. And they still do, a few millennia later. His face is covered with small freckles, a trait of Arabian desert dwellers, but, even odder, his hair is red much like men to the west of Old World Sparta, and his eyes are as green as any ocean algae; his lips a bit absorbing in appearance, a trait of his Nubian blood. He sat down to see why he had to go to school.
M put his head to the desk, only to be smacked by one of his fellow Spartan Patriots. His eyes closed for a moment, and in a world where sleep is so valuable, he just wanted to dream for a bit.
